GREAT COLORS FOR FALL NOW!!

WEATHER
It has been getting cooler as the days go by. We are now in the 30’s for evening temps and rising to the 50’s for daytime. It is really nice for Fall weather. Skies are clear and winds here have been light although I have heard of pretty stout winds in the more northern areas.

SOUTH LAKE
The rental boats are still going and the fishing has been very, very good. Several large Alpers have come out with Powerbait. Fishing the rockslide area with Nightcrawlers deep has been very good or back by the inlet with Salmon Eggs. Lot of good reports with natural Salmon Eggs this week. Trolling has been good with Nightcrawlers or red frog Needlefish on leadcore line. All anglers are reporting the fish are fat with nice fins and fighting hard. A few BROWNS showed up, but we are still waiting for a good run.

BISHOP CREEK
Water level remains good for fishing and the fish have been responding. Nightcrawlers or Salmon Eggs have been great. Lot of action with Panther Martins this week and several nice sized fish coming out. Some action with Powerbait but lures seem to be doing best. Olive Wooly Buggers or olive Cody Bullets have been great at Weir Pond or any area with a small pool or slow moving water.

NORTH LAKE AND INTAKE II
North Lake picking back up. Rainbow Powerbait or Gulp seem to be best. Anglers are also reporting good sizes and plenty of fish.
Intake two was a favorite this weekend with lots of limits coming out with Nightcrawlers or a white and yellow jig. Trout Teasers were knocking them silly this weekend.
Lake Sabrina continued to do well with Powerbait near the dam. Lots of fishermen and lots of limits taken out. Nightcrawlers have been awesome.

THE COLORS ARE REALLY STARTING TO CHANGE NOW. THIS LAST WEEK WAS GREAT FOR FALL COLORS. THE PEAK TIMES WILL BE THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS!!

BIG FISH
Judy Kandela of Irvine nailed a great 5 lb. 9 oz. Alpers Trophy Rainbow in South Lake using Salmon Eggs. Great fish!
Todd Johnson of Long Beach came in with a 4 lb. 15 oz. Alpers from South Lake using Powerbait.

Remember, great pictures of fish and scenery are available on our website: www.bishopcreekresorts.com
